PATTERN PLAY

Yesterday we showered my sister with tons love and well wishes at her bridal shower. We’d been planning the event for months and couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. Naturally, I’d been thinking about what I would wear pretty much since we started planning. I found this Delfi Collective gem about a month ago and was immediately crushed when I found out it was out of my budget (like way out!). I put my thinking cap on and luckily didn’t have to search very long. Rent The Runway came to the rescue with my ideal budget in mind. If you’re not familiar, RTR provides shopaholic’s like myself the opportunity to wear name brands at a fraction of the cost. You rent the garment for 4 or 7 days and simply send it back when you’re done. For someone like me who is guilty of only wearing a dress once, it’s a great way to save money AND wear designers I love and admire. This beauty (and a backup size) arrived Thursday just in time for the weekend. Friends of mine swear by RTR for most events like weddings or other parties, but this was the first time I gave it a try. I will say that I was a bit disappointed upon opening the garment bag, because the dress smelled a bit of body odor and had a slight pull in the sleeve. I contacted RTR immediately to notify them, to which they were not happy and assured me was unacceptable quality. They noted the issues and I sent images of the pulls. I’m still waiting for a reply, but thankfully Febreeze fabric and the backup came in handy. The dress was a hit and I felt so confident all day.
