I couldn't be happier to welcome Fall. Fall running is the best kind of running, ask any runner. Since I decided to run a Spring marathon this year, I chose a few shorter distances to run this Fall. Originally I planned to run 2 long distance races this year, but I didn't get chosen for the New York City marathon lottery and I have some exciting weddings to attend that prohibited me from trying Philly or some other options. So I'm thrilled to conquer some other fun distances in the coming weeks. I'll finally be running the NYRR New Balance 5th Avenue Mile next weekend, returning to NYRR Grete's Great Gallop on 10/1 (10k) and tackling the NYRR Staten Island Half 10/8. Nothing makes me happier than being at the starting line of a race, feeling that Autumn breeze across my face and watching the leaves all around me happily spiral to the ground.
